MUSS Donates Over Rs 3 Lakh for Char Dham Yatra Insurance

The Manav Utthan Seva Samiti (MUSS) handed over a cheque of Rs 3,67,995 to Shri Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee for the security insurance of Char Dham Yatra pilgrims. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the event which emphasized a smooth and safe pilgrimage.

The Manav Utthan Seva Samiti (MUSS) presented a cheque of Rs 3,67,995, including service tax, to Shri Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee on Thursday. The insurance premium amount, provided by United India Insurance Company Limited, aims to secure the safety of pilgrims undertaking the Char Dham Yatra.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami graced the event held at the Secretariat House in Dehradun, underscoring the state's commitment to the pilgrimage's safety and well-being.

On Tuesday, Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Radha Raturi reviewed the IIM Rohtak report on Chardham's carrying capacity. The action plan discussed focuses on medical emergency services, effective yatra management, and strengthening the local economy while protecting the environment. Proposals included RFID-based registration, SMS weather updates, and crowd control measures.
