Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Wednesday engaged in a detailed discussion with Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the Chhattisgarh Vision @ 2047, aimed at the state's long-term development. The meeting, held at Shah's residence in New Delhi, highlighted eight targeted areas for development. Chief Minister Sai revealed that a working committee has been established to foster growth in these sectors, frequently consulting with the public and experts to devise an actionable plan, according to a press release from the Chhattisgarh Government.

Sai also briefed the Home Minister on stringent measures being implemented to disrupt the supply and funding networks of Maoist groups in Chhattisgarh. He detailed the strict actions taken by the state government to curtail Maoist activities and dismantle their financial channels. The Chief Minister discussed ongoing Naxal operations and developmental projects in Maoist-affected regions, noting rapid infrastructure expansion and special campaigns focused on education and health services in these areas.

During the meeting, Home Minister Amit Shah praised the Chhattisgarh Government's efforts and pledged the Central Government's full support in maintaining peace and stability in the state. Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Sai also met with Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to deliberate on new rail line projects for Chhattisgarh. Speaking to reporters, Sai, with Deputy CM Vijay Sharma, discussed the relatively limited railway coverage in the state and expressed optimism about significant rail developments under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, including the addition of four new rail lines.
