Indore Breaks World Record with 11 Lakh Saplings Planted in 24 Hours
Indore has set a new world record by planting 11 lakh saplings in 24 hours, further establishing itself as India's cleanest city. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav received recognition from the Guinness Book of World Records, celebrating Indore's environmental initiative under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Indore has set a new world record by planting 11 lakh saplings within 24 hours on Sunday, further solidifying its reputation as India's cleanest city and promoting a healthy environment. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav received the certificate from the Guinness Book of World Records.
In a post on X, CM Yadav proclaimed, 'Indore is now number 1 in the world. Infinite congratulations and best wishes to all of you for creating history in plantation after cleanliness. With your participation, Indore, the economic capital of Madhya Pradesh, has made a world record of planting more than 11 lakh saplings in a day.'
Nishchal Barot, Guinness World Record Consultant, told ANI that the previous record was held by Assam, which planted 9,26,000 trees in a day. 'More than 12 lakh trees were planted in Indore within 24 hours. The title of this Guinness world record was 'Most trees planted by a team within 24 hours'. We started this record on July 13 at 7:03 pm, and Indore broke the old record by 5 pm on the following day,' he said.
Earlier in 2023, more than 1500 people performed tabla in the 'Taal Darbar' at Gwalior Fort, setting a Guinness World Record for the most simultaneous tabla performances. Chief Minister Yadav announced that December 25 will be celebrated as 'Tabla Divas.'
