Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai conducted a two-day visit to the Border Security Force (BSF) Frontier Headquarters in Kashmir, assessing the security situation and operational readiness along the Line of Control.

Rai toured forward positions in the Niru-Gurez sector, meeting with field commanders and soldiers to review security measures and discuss the additional infrastructure and operational equipment needs. He commended the BSF troops' dedication during a Sainik Sammelan, outlining government initiatives for capacity building and welfare across all Central Armed Police Forces.

The Minister also interacted with Niru village residents and held a strategic review meeting at Frontier HQ on July 14 with senior BSF officers to evaluate current challenges and future strategies, emphasizing intelligence enhancement, inter-agency coordination, and community engagement. Rai stressed the importance of local support for security efforts, praising the BSF's role in maintaining national safety and reaffirming government commitment to troop welfare and capability enhancement.
