Royal Visit to Holy See Postponed Due to Pope's Health

The state visit of King Charles and his wife, Queen Camilla, to the Holy See is now postponed, after Buckingham Palace announced that medical advice suggested Pope Francis could benefit from an extended period of rest.

The royal itinerary originally included a meeting with the Pope on April 8, following their arrival at the Holy See on April 7. However, their subsequent trip to Italy will go ahead as planned.

In an official statement, Buckingham Palace expressed the royal couple's well wishes for Pope Francis's recovery and their anticipation of rescheduling the visit once he has recuperated.
