Chilean President Gabriel Boric Font is set to embark on a five-day state visit to India starting April 1. The visit, at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aims to explore avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation in various sectors, including trade and defense, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has announced.
This marks Boric's inaugural visit to India in his role as president. Accompanying him is a high-level delegation consisting of ministers, parliament members, officials, and representatives from business and media sectors, along with notable Chileans engaging in the India-Chile cultural connection.
The agenda includes discussions with Prime Minister Modi on strengthening India-Chile relations, as well as meetings with Indian President Draupadi Murmu. The delegation will visit New Delhi, Agra, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, engaging with political, business, and tech leaders to review bilateral ties and address regional issues of mutual interest.
