Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Bihar on Friday to partake in the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of Birsa Munda, a revered tribal freedom fighter, often regarded as a deity by communities on the Chhota Nagpur plateau.
The visit includes a trip to Jamui district, marking Bihar's observance of 'Janjatiya Gaurav Divas'. The visit also marks the PM's second tour of the state this week, following the foundation-laying ceremony for AIIMS in Darbhanga.
In addition to political engagements, Modi will inaugurate significant development projects worth Rs 6640 crore, including tribal museums and institutes, solidifying his presence and influence in the area amid ongoing elections in neighboring Jharkhand.
