Advanced Security Tech to Safeguard Mahakumbh Mela

Uttar Pradesh DGP Prashant Kumar announced that advanced technology, including AI, will secure the Mahakumbh Mela. The government has allocated substantial funds for fire safety and disaster management, and an ATS team will be on duty. Systems are set up to address misinformation promptly.

Uttar Pradesh is gearing up to host the upcoming Mahakumbh Mela with a robust security framework that integrates cutting-edge technology, according to Director General of Police, Prashant Kumar.

Following a strategic meeting with Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh, the DGP emphasized that their control room will be equipped with data on approximately 1 million suspicious individuals. Enhanced security measures include the allocation of Rs 180 crore for fire safety, communication, and disaster management.

An Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) will be on high alert during the fair. A real-time misinformation counter-strategy will ensure accurate updates reach audiences swiftly via social media platforms, aided by influencers.
