A devastating firecracker mishap has left 26 individuals hospitalized in Kerala's Nileshwararm. Among them, three people are critically injured and receiving intensive treatment in the hospital's Burn Intensive Care Unit (BICU).
The victims hail from Kasargod and Kannur districts, ranging in age from young children to seniors. Notably, a 76-year-old community member named Bharathan is among those severely injured, fighting for his life after sustaining burns to his hands, shoulders, and face.
Meanwhile, the youngest victim, four-year-old Saayan Dev, remains in critical condition in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. His mother, who suffered minor injuries, expressed her anguish over their first temple outing turning tragic.
