In a world increasingly divided by wealth, 'Despatch', an investigative thriller starring Manoj Bajpayee, offers a gripping exploration of crime journalism. Filmmaker Kanu Behl sheds light on the complexities and inherent disparities in modern society through the character of Joy Bag, a Mumbai-based journalist.

The film, which was unveiled at the MAMI Mumbai Film Festival, follows Joy Bag as he confronts the dual pressures of a mid-life crisis and the digital age. Behl, known for his incisive storytelling, portrays a corporate-political scandal capable of shaking Mumbai's very foundations.

'Despatch' is inspired by real journalists and took shape in 2016. Avoiding clichéd portrayals, Behl and co-writer Ishani Banerjee embed rich narratives of societal power dynamics, making it a compelling reflection on today's opaque and foggy world.
