A group of talented artists hailing from regions near several tiger reserves made a significant visit to Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tuesday, where they had the opportunity to meet President Droupadi Murmu.
During their residency at the President's official residence, these artists showcased an impressive art exhibition. Their works, crafted with natural colors, captured the profound and eternal connection between humans and nature. President Murmu acknowledged the depth of their artwork and emphasized the importance of sustaining this artistic expression.
Murmu called on the public to actively support these artists by both appreciating and purchasing their creations. This initiative fell under the Artist-in-Residency program ‘SRIJAN 2024,’ which hosted artists from various states including Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Mizoram, Telangana, Uttarakhand, and Jharkhand. The artworks encompassed diverse forms such as tribal contemporary, Saura, Gond, Warli, Aipan, and Sohrai.
