Ayodhya is abuzz as preparations for the eighth Deepotsav reach their final stages. Scheduled for October 30, the city plans to light up with 28 lakh earthen lamps, with security overseen by Director General of Police Prashant Kumar.
This year's event is particularly significant as it marks the first Deepotsav since the consecration of the Ram Lalla idol. The festival will highlight Ayodhya's spiritual and cultural heritage through performances from international artists and a Ram Leela presentation from Uttarakhand.
Sustainability is a priority, with soot-reducing lamps and innovative decorative efforts to protect the temple's structure. The Animal Husbandry Department is also contributing with 'Gau Deep', while robust security plans ensure a safe, festive atmosphere for all.
