Filmmaker Ekta Kapoor and her mother, Shobha Kapoor, have been instructed to appear before the Mumbai Police on October 24 in connection with a POCSO case. The case, concerning the alleged obscene portrayal of minors in a web series, was registered on a court's order.
An FIR has been filed against Ekta, Shobha, and Balaji Telefilms Limited for allegedly streaming inappropriate scenes with minor girls in 'Gandi Baat' season 6. The Kapoors expressed that they are not involved in the daily operations of ALT Digital Media Entertainment Ltd.
ALT Digital Media Entertainment Ltd has refuted the allegations, asserting compliance with legal standards and stating that separate teams handle their content. The company affirmed its cooperation with the ongoing investigation and expressed trust in the judiciary.
