On Tuesday, veteran actor Neena Gupta was honored with the Best Actress in a Supporting Role award at the 70th National Film Awards for her performance in 'Uunchai'. The prestigious accolade was presented to her by President Droupadi Murmu during a ceremony at Vigyan Bhawan.
Opting for an ethereal look, Neena Gupta donned a pink saree with a matching blouse and accessorized with a pink flower in her hair as she graciously accepted the award. Her radiant smile captured the joyous moment.
Marking her third National Award win, Neena Gupta had previously bagged awards for her roles in 'Bazar Sitaram' and 'Woh Chokri'. Speaking to ANI in August 2024, she expressed her surprise and gratitude for the honor, stating the significance of a National Award. Gupta also cherished her experience working on 'Uunchai', directed by Sooraj Barjatya, who won Best Director at the same event.
