Bollywood veteran Govinda is expected to be released from a hospital this Friday following an accidental leg injury caused by a gunshot. The iconic actor, aged 60, was hospitalized and underwent surgery earlier this week to address the injury.

Providing an update, his daughter Tina Ahuja informed press members, 'He is showing improvement and will be discharged today.' Govinda's wife, Sunita Ahuja, supported this, revealing that medical professionals have recommended at least six weeks of rest.

The incident occurred when his revolver accidentally discharged at his Mumbai home, prompting investigations by both local police and the crime branch. Though no formal complaints have been filed, inquiries continue. Dr. Ramesh Agarwal, who operated on Govinda, reported the bullet struck below the knee, requiring 8-10 stitches.
