Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has launched the 'Kutumb' application to enhance service delivery for registered senior citizens in Delhi.
According to officials, over 65,000 senior citizens stand to benefit from the new app, which was unveiled on the International Day of Older Persons. The 'Kutumb' app is designed for use across all districts of the Delhi Police to ensure better service delivery to registered senior citizens. It aims to address specific needs, making life safer and more connected for elderly users in the digital era.
The safety, security, and well-being of senior citizens is a core responsibility of the Delhi Police. A statement from officials emphasized that senior citizen cells have been established in every district DCP's office and within the Special Unit for Protection of Women and Children (SPUWAC) at police headquarters. These cells regularly organize meetings with senior citizens across various levels. The 'Kutumb' app represents a proactive effort to ensure timely visits and address the issues faced by elderly citizens.
