Ceasar, an active member of the CISF dog squad at the airport for over eight years, retired from service on Monday. A ceremonial activity marked his send-off, with officials pulling an open-top vehicle on which Ceasar was seated.

CISF DIG Arun Singh noted that Ceasar, a male Labrador, superannuated after eight and a half years of service and praised his pivotal role in maintaining airport security.

"Dogs in the squad are essential for security protocols, integral to every drill," said Singh. "Today, Ceasar retired and we inducted a new dog into the squad, maintaining our strength at nine."

Known for resolving crises mostly related to unclaimed baggage, Ceasar's retirement was celebrated with a cake-cutting ceremony and a shower of flowers. The event also highlighted the induction of a new member to continue his legacy.
