The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) informed the Bombay High Court on Monday that actor-producer Kangana Ranaut has consented to the cuts proposed by the CBFC for her film 'Emergency'.
During the hearing, advocate Sharan Jagtiani, representing Zee Entertainment, indicated that the cuts were discussed and agreed upon with Ranaut and the CBFC. However, Zee Entertainment requires time to confirm the exact modifications.
The film, delayed due to CBFC certification issues, drew objections from Sikh organizations, including the Shiromani Akali Dal, alleging it misrepresented the community. The court granted an adjournment until October 3, requesting both parties seek further instructions.
