Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde took a veiled swipe at Uddhav Thackeray as he spoke about Shiv Sena's identity under his leadership, emphasizing the party's foundation of dedicated workers rather than a hierarchy-driven structure. He asserted that Shiv Sena is the party of committed 'field workers' rather than 'a master and slaves'.

Addressing new members from the Shiv Sena (UBT) faction, Shinde stressed that his political journey was built on hard work, not privileged beginnings. He highlighted the grassroots efforts to improve the lives of the people, including triumphs like last year's assembly elections.

Shinde also mentioned that criticism and ridicule have always been met with diligent work and achievements. He noted that the Mahayuti alliance's electoral success stemmed from the foundational work laid during his leadership.
