Sunil Ambekar, a senior functionary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), called BJP president J P Nadda's statement about the party's self-sufficiency a 'family matter' on Wednesday. Responding to queries about any rift between the RSS and BJP, Ambekar emphasized that internal issues are resolved internally without public discussion.

In a recent interview, Nadda asserted that BJP has evolved from relying on the RSS to becoming a self-sufficient entity. Ambekar, speaking at the India Today Conclave in Mumbai, reiterated that while individuals may join the RSS for political aspirations, they are driven towards social work once associated with the organization.

Ambekar also addressed India's progress over the past decade, acknowledging the nation's potential in science and economy, while also pointing out ongoing societal challenges such as social disparity and religious conversions in Tamil Nadu. Additionally, Ambekar commented on RSS activities in conflict-ridden Manipur and the organization's gender-based structuring.
