Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), which oversees the affluent shrine of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala hills, has formally filed a police complaint against AR Dairy Foods Pvt Ltd, a Tamil Nadu-based company, over the issue of supplying adulterated ghee.

In a press conference, TTD Executive Officer J Shyamala Rao revealed that laboratory tests indicated the presence of animal fat and lard in selected ghee samples provided by AR Dairy.

However, AR Dairy has refuted these allegations, asserting that their product samples were duly certified by relevant authorities as meeting quality standards. The company spokespersons mentioned that they supplied ghee to TTD only during the months of June and July.
