On Tuesday, union video game actors filed an unfair labor practice charge and declared a strike against Formosa Interactive, a company providing voiceover services for the renowned online game 'League of Legends,' according to the actors' union SAG-AFTRA.

SAG-AFTRA members have ceased providing performance services to 'League of Legends,' labeling the game as struck. The union claims Formosa tried to cancel one of its struck video games shortly after the video game strike began. When informed that was impossible, Formosa allegedly transferred the game to a shell company and issued casting calls for 'NON-UNION' talent exclusively, violating performers' strike rights under labor laws.

Formosa Interactive has yet to comment. Riot Games, the developer of 'League of Legends,' stated that the game is not involved in the union's claims and denied any suggestion to Formosa to engage non-union performers. Riot also confirmed it had not asked Formosa to cancel any registered game. Known for its enormous popularity and significant Esports competitions, 'League of Legends' remains central to the controversy.
