Israel's Ministry of Tourism is optimistic about attracting more than 12,000 Indian visitors in 2024, despite ongoing regional conflicts. This expectation comes after recording 6,800 Indian travelers by August this year, primarily in pilgrimage and business segments.
'Irrespective of the current scenario, we are very positive,' said Amruta Bangera, Director of Marketing for IMOT India. 'We have welcomed 6,800 travelers from India and expect to double this number next year.'
India is a significant source market for Israel, second only to China among Asian countries. The IMOT aims to tap Tier I and II cities in India through promotional activities like travel shows and seminars, even as the country remains a safe and operational destination for global tourists.
