CJI Lays Foundation Stone for JSW Academic Block at NLSIU
Chief Justice of India D.Y. Chandrachud inaugurated the redevelopment of the JSW Academic Block at NLSIU. The revamped facility will include modern lecture halls and research centers. Funded by JSW Group, this project includes the creation of the JSW Centre for the Future of Law, focusing on legal challenges posed by technology.
In a landmark development, Chief Justice of India D.Y. Chandrachud inaugurated the redevelopment of the JSW Academic Block at the National Law School of India University (NLSIU) on September 23, 2024. The upgraded infrastructure will feature state-of-the-art lecture theatres, seminar rooms, and collaborative research spaces, offering an enhanced learning environment.
Funded by the JSW Group, the project will also establish the JSW Centre for the Future of Law, a research hub addressing the challenges posed by advancing technologies such as AI and digital privacy. The Centre aims to foster collaborations among academia, government, and industry to innovate legal solutions.
Dignitaries present at the event included Attorney General R. Venkataramani, Bar Council of India Chairman Manan Kumar Mishra, and JSW Foundation Chairperson Sangita Jindal. JSW Group's leadership emphasized that this initiative not only upgrades infrastructure but also prepares future legal professionals for a technology-driven landscape.
