Bollywood Celebrities Attend Prayer Meet for Malaika and Amrita Arora's Father

On Friday night, Bollywood celebrities like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, and actor-producer Arbaaz Khan attended the prayer meet for Anil Mehta, the father of Malaika and Amrita Arora. The event took place at the residence of Malaika's mother in Mumbai, where close friends and family members gathered to pay their last respects.

The Mumbai Police have recorded the statements of Malaika, her sister Amrita, and their mother. According to the police, Anil Mehta had contacted both of his daughters before turning off his phone, expressing that he was 'sick and tired.' After the call, the family tried to reach him, but his phone was switched off. Police reports indicate that Anil Mehta jumped from a building balcony, causing severe fractures in his right leg. The postmortem confirmed that his death was due to multiple injuries.

The police plan to interview Mehta's doctor and other close family members to gather more information. Anil Mehta passed away on Wednesday, with Malaika's former husband Arbaaz Khan being one of the first to reach the family's home. Members of Arbaaz's family, including Salim and Salma Khan, Helen, Alvira, Arpita, Sohail, and Salman Khan, also visited to offer their condolences.

Following her father's demise, Malaika issued a public statement asking for privacy. 'We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband, and our best friend. Our family is in deep shock by this loss, and we kindly request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time,' the statement read. The family expressed their gratitude for the understanding and support received from friends and fans.
