A 20-year-old MBBS student, Pranshul Vyas, was found dead by suicide at his residence in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, on Thursday, according to local police.

Vyas, who was in his second year at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College in Indore, had rented accommodation with two friends. He took his life while alone at home in Ujjain's Vasant Vihar colony.

No suicide note was discovered, but Vyas had reportedly searched online for methods to tie a noose. Police are investigating, questioning his roommates and friends, and reviewing his social media and phone records to ascertain the motive behind his death.
