Zinc Industry Leaders to Convene at 'The Zinc College' in Udaipur

The International Zinc Association (IZA) is set to organize 'The Zinc College' in Udaipur from September 15 to 19.
Hosted by Hindustan Zinc, India's largest integrated zinc producer, the biennial event serves as a platform for exchanging ideas and best practices to shape the future of the global zinc industry. The previous edition was held in Spain.
IZA Chairperson Arun Misra highlighted that this year's focus will be on sustainability, including innovations to reduce carbon emissions and extend material longevity. The introduction of low-carbon Green Zinc and advancements in the steel industry will be key topics.
Misra noted that the event would solidify India's leadership in global zinc discussions, emphasizing new applications in infrastructure, energy storage, renewable energy, automobiles, healthcare, and agriculture.
Over 100 industry leaders and experts from around the world will convene to explore the latest trends and advancements in zinc. Participants will visit Hindustan Zinc's mining and smelting facilities in Rajasthan and attend expert-led sessions.
