Samunnati, India's leading agri-value chain enabler, wrapped up its Fourth National FPO Conclave on September 4 in Hyderabad, marking a decade of empowering Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs). The two-day event spotlighted sustainability, climate resilience, and building an inclusive agricultural ecosystem.
A major highlight was the launch of Samunnati's Carbon Incubator Facility Initiative, designed to empower FPOs and farmers to integrate carbon projects. This initiative will explore opportunities like regenerative agriculture and agroforestry. Biochar, a technology-based organic fertilizer, was showcased as a key innovation, turning farm residues into soil-enhancing carbon, boosting crop resilience and providing additional income through carbon credits.
During the conclave, Samunnati also announced four new partnerships aimed at promoting sustainability and advancing the agriculture value chain. The event featured discussions on climate resilience, technology, and new financial solutions to support sustainable farming practices. Keynote speakers highlighted the crucial role of FPOs in strengthening India's agricultural sector and fostering rural development.
