Rajnath Singh Advocates Global Unity Amid Evolving Challenges

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh addressed the importance of global unity amid contemporary conflicts and evolving challenges. At the 'Tarang Shakti' air exercise, he emphasized India's role in fostering international cooperation, advancements in the defence sector, and the significance of technological progression for self-reliance. He urged friendly nations to elevate partnerships beyond political and technical realms.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday stressed the necessity for global unity at a time when several countries are embroiled in conflicts. Speaking at 'Tarang Shakti'—India's largest multilateral air exercise hosted by the Indian Air Force (IAF)—Singh urged friendly nations to elevate their partnerships to tackle evolving global challenges.

"In the current global race, India aims to walk hand in hand with its partners," Singh said. He added that India is collaborating with friendly nations on advanced defence projects and that initiatives like Tarang Shakti enhance mutual cooperation and trust. Singh highlighted India's progress as a major exporter of defence equipment and its strides towards self-reliance in defence manufacturing.

The Defence Minister emphasized the crucial role of technology in the defence sector, noting that IAF's transformation with modern aircraft and next-generation equipment reflects India's dedication to self-reliance. The event also showcased advanced technological products and an air show featuring the Sarang helicopter display team and the Surya Kiran aerobatic team. Singh later inaugurated the India Defense Aviation Exposition (IDAX) 2024.
