BJP Rallies for Justice Over Doctor's Tragic End Amidst Political Tensions

With the participation of hundreds of BJP activists and saffron-leaning intellectuals, the rally commemorated Swami Vivekananda's historic 1893 speech at the Parliament of the World's Religions in Chicago. The procession began at Swami Vivekananda's ancestral house and ended at Shyambazar Five Point Crossing.

Chakraborty emphasized the need for continued protest, citing Bengal's revolutionary legacy. The TMC, however, accused the BJP of politicizing the incident, demanding accountability from the CBI. The protests, sparked by junior doctors' strike demanding government concessions, have severely disrupted state-run healthcare services. Government officials allege political interference, but protesting medics deny this and plan to continue until their demands are met.
