Actor RajKummar Rao, currently celebrating the success of 'Stree 2' and preparing for upcoming projects, visited Mumbai's iconic Lalbaugcha Raja on Wednesday along with his wife, actress Patralekhaa. The couple joined the city in its Ganesh Chaturthi festivities, offering their prayers at the renowned idol's shrine.

RajKummar was dressed in a neutral-coloured shirt and trousers, while Patralekhaa wore a pastel green saree. The couple was among numerous celebrities, including Kartik Aaryan, Varun Dhawan, director Atlee, and Shilpa Shetty, who made their way to pay their respects to the deity.

The Lalbaugcha Raja Sahitya Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal, the central attraction during the festival, unveiled the first look of its iconic Ganesh idol on September 5. The 10-day celebration, which continues until Anantha Chaturdashi, draws thousands of worshippers seeking blessings from Lord Ganesha, acknowledged as the god of new beginnings and remover of obstacles.

Ganesh Chaturthi, also referred to as Vinayak Chaturthi or Vinayak Chavithi, is one of Mumbai's most awaited events. Established in 1934 at Putlabai Chawl, the Lalbaugcha Raja idol has been a focal point of devotion and festivity, managed by the Kambli family for more than 80 years.

While devotees welcome Ganesh idols into their homes, visiting colourful pandals and offering prayers, RajKummar Rao is gearing up for new ventures in his career. He will feature in 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video,' directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, set to release on October 11, 2024, and recently announced another film titled 'Maalik,' directed by Pulkit. The shoot for 'Maalik' has already commenced.
