Union minister Amit Shah on Sunday applauded the silent yet profound contributions of Parsis to India's growth, while extolling the Gujarati newspaper Mumbai Samachar.
During the release of the documentary 'Mumbai Samachar- 200 Not Out', which details the 200-year legacy of Asia's oldest newspaper, Shah commended the Camas family for exemplifying trustworthy journalism.
Mumbai Samachar, now in its 203rd year, has become synonymous with Mumbai's identity. Shah noted that while dynasties falter, this newspaper has thrived, upholding a reputation for truthfulness. The documentary, also honored by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in June 2022, debuted in 40 countries.
