Three men lost their lives and another was injured following a violent clash between two groups over DJ music at a Ganesh pandal in Chhattisgarh's Durg district, police reported on Sunday.
Authorities have arrested 15 individuals so far in connection with the incident, which occurred on Saturday night in the Sheetla Mandir area under the jurisdiction of Nandini police station, according to a police official.
Preliminary investigations reveal that the altercation began on Friday when the three deceased men and their friends were dancing to DJ music at the Sheetla Mandir Ganesh Samiti pandal. A dispute with another person and his friends escalated, despite initial attempts by locals to defuse the situation. The conflict reignited on Saturday night, leading to the fatal confrontation involving sticks and sharp-edged weapons, the official said. The victims have been identified as Karan Yadav, Rajesh Yadav, and Vasu Yadav, while Akash Patel from the opposing group sustained injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
