'We Live In Time,' which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, is a tear-jerker that delves into the existential questions of love, life's meaning, and cherishing each moment under the looming threat of mortality.

The film stars Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield as a young couple who, after meeting under unforeseen circumstances, are forced to reassess their lives when a cancer diagnosis disrupts their domestic bliss. Their journey focuses on balancing ambitions, creating lasting memories, and seeking potential medical solutions amid uncertainty.

Andrew Garfield, known for his role as Peter Parker in 'The Amazing Spider-Man' franchise, emphasized the movie’s meditation on life's fleeting nature. 'We are all heading to the same place - I think we forget that - and the only thing that gives life meaning is we remember that,' Garfield remarked at the film's premiere.

Directed by John Crowley and written by Nick Payne, the movie marks the first on-screen collaboration between Garfield, 41, and Pugh, 28. Garfield praised the experience of working with Pugh, whose notable roles include 'Little Women,' 'Black Widow,' and 'Oppenheimer.'

For Pugh, TIFF represents a significant milestone. Although she debuted at the festival with 'Lady Macbeth' in 2016, this year marks her first in-person attendance. 'This is for the first time that I am attending TIFF in person, so it feels like finally I made it,' Pugh shared.
