Cody Christian and Jonetta Kaiser to Star in Sci-Fi Thriller 'SYNC'
Cody Christian, Jonetta Kaiser, and Michael Pare have landed lead roles in the upcoming sci-fi thriller 'SYNC'. Directed by RJ Zabasky, the film delves into advanced technology in 2035 that allows a grieving man, played by Christian, to reconnect with an AI version of his deceased fiancée.

Cody Christian, Jonetta Kaiser, and Michael Pare have secured the lead roles in the soon-to-be-released sci-fi thriller SYNC, The Hollywood Reporter confirms. Premiering at the Toronto Film Festival's informal market, the movie features Christian as a grieving man in 2035 who uses advanced technology to reconnect with an AI version of his deceased fiancée, portrayed by Kaiser. However, as their virtual engagement progresses, Christian's character starts noticing anomalies in her programming.
Christian is well-known for his performances as Mike Montgomery on Pretty Little Liars and Asher Adams on the CW show All American, which he graced for six seasons. He also lent his voice to the iconic mercenary Cloud Strife in Square Enix's Final Fantasy video games, earning a BAFTA nomination. SYNC marks the directorial debut of RJ Zabasky, who also penned the screenplay. Filming is set to begin in Los Angeles this fall, with a supporting cast that includes Jake Ebright, Abigaille Ozrey, Emily Ozrey, Jill Lover, and Frederick Trankels.
The project is being produced by Zabasky under his Doolin Entertainment banner, with co-producers Kami Norton, Evan Sorlien, and Vincent Young, alongside Jaime Gallagher and Jacob Samuel. Christian is represented by AKA Talent Agency, Williams Unlimited, The Brand Partners, and Hayes Robbins of GGSSC. Kaiser is represented by Defining Artists Agency and LINK Entertainment, while Pare is represented by Sovereign Talent Group and Luber Roklin Entertainment.
