Senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Friday highlighted the critical need for stable and capable leadership in the face of ongoing global turmoil. Speaking at the Asian Brand and Leadership Conclave 2024 held in Haryana's Surajkund, Naqvi emphasized that India and other democracies require leaders who can act as both 'trouble shooters' and 'flag bearers' of socio-economic and cultural empowerment.

Addressing attendees, Naqvi remarked that artificial intelligence cannot create perfect leaders but only 'proxy readers,' underlining that technology should complement rather than confine human capability and confidence. He further noted that genuine leadership often emerges from periods of significant struggle.

Naqvi highlighted historical examples of leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. Ambedkar, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee who emerged from adversity. He expressed concern about leadership arising from comfort rather than rustic environments. Citing the example of American MP Ocasio Cortez, Naqvi illustrated how struggle can forge resilient leaders.
