Actor Jackie Shroff congratulated India's judoka Kapil Parmar after he made history by winning a bronze medal in the men's -60kg J1 contest at the Paris Paralympics on Thursday. Parmar clinched the medal by overcoming Brazil's Elielton de Oliveira.

Shroff shared a picture of Parmar on his Instagram story, celebrating the achievement with a caption that noted it was India's first ever Judo medal at the Paralympics/Olympics and that it increased India's total medal tally to 25. Parmar executed the Ippon in just 33 seconds to secure the victory.

Despite an earlier 0-10 defeat against Iran's Banitaba Khorram Abadi in the semi-finals, Parmar, hailing from Shivor village in Madhya Pradesh, reached the podium by also dominating Venezuela's Marcos Dennis Blanco with a 10-0 victory. On the acting front, Shroff is excited about his upcoming film 'Singham Again,' directed by Rohit Shetty and featuring a star-studded cast.
