Karnataka Gears Up for International Democracy Day: Human Chain and Sapling Plantation Planned

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has called on democrats to unite for International Democracy Day on September 15.
Chairing a planning meeting, he emphasized celebrating the event in all districts and taluks. Proposed activities include teaching the Constitution's preamble and creating a 2,500 km human chain from Anubhava Mantapa to Chamarajnagar.
Siddaramaiah warned about threats to democracy and urged organizations and political parties to join the initiative. The plan also involves planting 10 lakh saplings and appointing Padma Shri awardee Harekala Hajabba as the brand ambassador. A special website and logo for the event have been launched.
