Visionary Goals for India's Postal Department

Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia emphasized the potential for the Department of Posts to become profitable through concerted efforts by its officials. Speaking at an officers' conclave, he detailed the department's rich history and the need for transformation.
Scindia noted that the postal department has been a cost center for the Indian government, with revenues of Rs 12,000 crore compared to costs of Rs 36,000 crore. He set a lofty goal to transform the department into a profit center with revenue targets of Rs 40,000 crore.
He called for a unified strategy under the motto "One team, one vision, one goal, one result" and highlighted the importance of leadership, innovation, and customer-centric services to achieve this transformation. Scindia also stressed the need for collective action and teamwork to expand the department's market share and service offerings.
