A 35-year-old banker allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the trans-harbour Atal Setu here, police confirmed on Wednesday.

Alex Regi, a resident of Pune who worked for a nationalised bank, stopped his car on the bridge on Monday and leaped into the sea. CCTV cameras captured the entire incident, according to a Nhava-Sheva police official.

The body was later discovered. Family members revealed he was under significant work pressure, though no suicide note has been found. An investigation into the matter continues, the official added.
