Leading French cosmetic maker L'Oreal Paris announced on Tuesday that Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has been appointed as its new global brand ambassador.

Joining a distinguished list of ambassadors including Viola Davis, Jane Fonda, and Camila Cabello, Bhatt will headline the brand's campaigns beginning in September 2024, according to a statement from L'Oreal.

Alia Bhatt exemplifies the core values of L'Oreal Paris, such as inclusivity and empowerment, the company said, highlighting her efforts to promote self-belief among women globally.

L'Oreal Paris Global President Delphine Viguier-Hovasse remarked, ''I admire how Alia uses her global platform to advocate for inclusivity in the film industry and spotlight Indian cinema worldwide.''
