In a recent interaction, Parliamentarian and acclaimed author-philanthropist Sudha Murthy revealed her intention to write a book on Parliament once she finishes her term as a Rajya Sabha member. Reflecting on India's parliamentary changes since the 1980s, Murthy shared her interest in chronicling these transformations in her future works.
During a conversation with author and actor Twinkle Khanna, organized by Bengaluru-based Lit Spirit Foundation for the launch of her 46th book, 'Grandpa's Bag of Stories', Murthy expressed a desire to write about the shlokas her grandfather used to recite. She also mentioned her reluctance to set her stories outside India, particularly in the UK, due to her brief stays there.
Murthy and Khanna discussed their respective writing methods, emphasizing the essence of discipline and understanding readers. While Murthy shared that she frames an entire story in her mind before writing, Khanna stressed the significance of connecting with readers. They collectively highlighted the unique challenge and responsibility involved in penning down children's literature.
