Sports Trio Threatened Over Parking Dispute in Goa
A known criminal threatened three sportspersons in Goa during a dispute over car parking. The incident occurred at Karaswada junction, Mapusa. The sportspersons, fearing for their safety, used a practice weapon to scare off the criminal, Shailesh Garad. The police are investigating the incident and looking to apprehend Garad.

In a troubling incident, a known criminal allegedly threatened three sportspersons over a car parking dispute in Goa, police said on Saturday.
The conflict transpired at Karaswada junction, Mapusa, late Friday night. To defend themselves, the athletes fired a practice weapon and managed to escape the scene. The accused, Shailesh Garad, is said to have a serious criminal record, including an attempted murder charge.
Superintendent of Police (North) Akshat Kaushal confirmed that efforts are underway to apprehend Garad. The legality of the sportspersons' use of the weapon is also under review.
