Bollywood star Varun Dhawan revealed on Friday that he will join Sunny Deol in the highly anticipated sequel to 'Border'.

The actor, famous for his cameo role in 'Stree 2', took to Instagram to share the nostalgic news about his involvement in the project, which will be helmed by Anurag Singh. The 1997 original, directed by JP Dutta, was a monumental success, and Dutta returns as a producer alongside Bhushan Kumar.

'I was just a kid when I first watched 'Border',' Dhawan reminisced, further expressing his admiration for the Indian armed forces. 'To this day, I salute their unmatched valor. Starring in this sequel, especially alongside my hero Sunny Paaji, makes this a milestone in my career,' the actor noted.

Dhawan is also set to feature in Kalees' 'Baby John' due for release in December, and reunite with Janhvi Kapoor in 'Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari'. Meanwhile, Sunny Deol continues his successful trajectory with 'Gadar 2' and impending role in 'Lahore 1947' produced by Aamir Khan.
