Gandhi, accompanied by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, left Hotel Lalit in Gupkar area, where they were staying, to enjoy dinner at Hotel Ahdoos. This establishment, one of the finest in the city, is celebrated for its Kashmiri 'Wazwan'.
The purpose of the visit, whether it was solely for dinner or included a meeting, remains unclear. The spontaneous visit to the bustling Polo View Residency Road area, J-K's commercial hub, astonished many. A significant security presence surrounded the hotel, which offers views of the Jhelum River, throughout their visit.
