South Indian film icon Allu Arjun has joined the roster of celebrities contributing to the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF) for rehabilitation in the landslide-afflicted Wayanad district of Kerala.

With the death toll from the devastating landslide reaching 219, authorities are pushing for extensive rehabilitation efforts. Allu Arjun, moved by the plight, announced his donation via social media, emphasizing the love he has received from Kerala.

''I am deeply saddened by the recent landslide in Wayanad...donating ₹25 lakh to the Kerala CM Relief Fund to support the rehabilitation,'' stated the 'Pushpa: The Rise' actor.

On the previous day, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, donning his Indian Territorial Army uniform, pledged ₹3 crore for the same cause. Alongside Mohanlal, several other celebrities like Kamal Haasan, Suriya, and Mammootty have also directed their financial support towards the CMDRF, highlighting a unified effort within the film fraternity to help the affected region.
