Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami extended a warm welcome to Kanwariyas on Tuesday by washing their feet and showering them with flower petals from helicopters. The unique gesture aimed to honor the Shiva devotees as they took part in their annual pilgrimage.

On the chief minister's instructions, helicopters showered flowers on Kanwariyas at various locations, spanning from Haridwar to the Uttar Pradesh border at Narsan. Dhami emphasized that the religious fervor displayed by the devotees deserved such an exceptional reception.

The Kanwariyas, filled with joy, captured the floral downpour on their mobile phones. Lakhs of Shiva devotees have gathered in Haridwar to collect 'Gangajal', which they intend to offer to Lord Shiva.
