Warner Bros has officially announced the release date for its upcoming animated musical 'Bad Fairies.' The much-anticipated film is set to hit theaters on July 23, 2027, according to an announcement made on Tuesday.

The movie is directed by Megan Nicole Dong, who is known for creating and directing the popular Netflix series Centaurworld. Currently in production in London, 'Bad Fairies' promises a unique score with the involvement of Tony-winning writers Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, creators of the musical 'Six,' and Grammy-nominated musician Isabella Summers of Florence and the Machine fame. Summers will compose and produce the score for the film.

Described as a 'subversive musical comedy,' 'Bad Fairies' will showcase a rebellious group of fairies in present-day London. Deborah Frances-White, known for hosting 'The Guilty Feminist' podcast, has penned the script. According to Warner Bros Pictures Animation president Bill Damaschke and Locksmith Animation CCO Mary Coleman, the combined talent promises to bring an unforgettable dimension to the story. Details about the voice cast have yet to be revealed.
