In a landmark move for higher education, Georgia National University has joined hands with the Andhra Pradesh government to establish a new international university in the North Andhra region. Education Minister Nara Lokesh announced the partnership, valued at Rs 1,300 crore, which promises to elevate education standards across the state.
Minister Lokesh emphasized the significance of this agreement, stating that it would serve as a 'big leap' for the state's higher education sector, transforming it into a global education hub. The collaboration is expected to not only enhance the academic landscape but also generate over 500 jobs in the region.
Beyond the economic benefits, the initiative aims to equip students in Andhra Pradesh with world-class skills, thereby strengthening the state's commitment to educational excellence. Lokesh, who also holds the IT portfolio, reaffirmed the government's dedication to expanding educational opportunities and infrastructure.
