A report from IIT Mandi reveals that 32.5% of Indian university students are involved in entrepreneurial activities, with many spurred by India's supportive policy landscape. The Global University Entrepreneurial Spirit Students' Survey (GUESSS) highlights these budding entrepreneurs.

The survey, overseen by Professor Dr. Puran Singh and co-authored by Dharmender K Yadav from IIT Mandi, ranks India among the top countries for entrepreneurial intent in academia. With 38% of students involved in venture creation, India leads globally, even surpassing the average entrepreneurial intent scores.

Conducted between November 2023 and February 2024, the GUESSS India 2023 Survey captured insights from nearly 14,000 students across hundreds of institutions, underscoring a strong foundation for the evolving landscape of student entrepreneurship in the country.
